BALMUDA is a premium Japanese brand renowned for designing beautifully crafted home appliances that combine innovative technology with exceptional user experiences. I worked on the Shopify storefront as part of an ongoing development and maintenance engagement, extending an existing custom theme and continuously enhancing the website with new features, layouts, and performance improvements.

- Extended and maintained an existing custom Shopify Plus theme.
- Developed a new dynamic header and footer to improve navigation and site structure.
- Built a redesigned homepage featuring multiple customizable sections managed through the Shopify Theme Customizer.
- Created flexible product information pages with reusable content sections that allow non-technical users to manage content without code changes.
- Developed dedicated layouts for:
- Product specifications
- Usage and instruction guides
- Product accessories and compatibility information
- Built and customized a recipe blog to support content marketing and provide customers with product-related inspiration.
- Integrated Judge.me reviews throughout the storefront to enhance customer trust and social proof.
- Leveraged Shopify metafields to manage structured product information and dynamic content.
- Implemented multiple custom JavaScript-based sliders and interactive sections to create engaging user experiences.
- Improved accessibility across various components to provide a more inclusive browsing experience.
- Optimized existing components and ensured all newly developed sections followed performance best practices to maintain a fast and responsive storefront.

Outcome
